Job description Role The person will be responsible for evaluating the financial, commercial, environmental, and legal aspects of projects seeking board approval. He will ensure that projects are viable, bankable, and aligned with the organization's risk appetite before financing decisions are made. Responsibilities 1. Project Evaluation and Due Diligence Assess feasibility studies, detailed project reports (DPRs), business models, and financial projections. 2. Analyse project costs, revenue streams, debt service coverage, internal rate of return (IRR), and break-even analysis. 3. Develop cash flow models under different scenarios (base case, downside case, stress case). 4. Conduct sensitivity analysis and identify key project risks. 5. Evaluate risks including market, operational, technical, financial, regulatory, and environmental risks. Recommend mitigation strategies for identified risks. 6. Prepare detailed appraisal notes, credit memos, and project evaluation reports. Present projects to Executive Director. Preferred candidate profile Education & Experience 5 -8 years in finance, project appraisal, investment banking, or corporate finance roles. Exposure to manufacturing projects, etc. Experience working with banks, development financial institutions (DFIs), or investment funds.
