Job description Negotiate freight rates and terms with shipping lines, air carriers, and freight forwarders to optimize cost and service. Coordinate with agents, buyers, and sellers to ensure alignment and timely execution of shipments. Maintain accurate records of all inbound and outbound shipments, tracking key logistics metrics and performance indicators. Ensure proper documentation for all shipments, including invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, certificates of origin, and customs paperwork. Monitor and manage third-country trade flows, ensuring compliance with international regulations and internal policies. Maintain strong coordination with logistics agents, customs brokers, and service providers across multiple countries and time zones. Be well-versed in Incoterms, international shipping practices, and trade compliance standards. Support the finance team in managing Letter of Credit (LC) processes, ensuring that shipping documentation meets banking and contractual requirements. Proactively address and resolve any logistics-related issues, such as delays, damages, or customs holds. Keep up-to-date with global freight market trends, trade lane developments, and regional regulations, particularly in Latin America and Southeast Asia.
