Job description About ERGO Technologies and Services India ET&S India, a part of ERGO Technology & Services Management, is the latest addition as an IT outsourcing provider for ERGO Group Worldwide. Supported by ERGO Group, an 18 billion Euro organization operating in over 25 countries, ET&S India aims to offer technology services to the ERGO group. In the near future, ET&S India will drive ERGO's digital ambitions and establish offshore development centers in various cities across the country. ET&S India will also focus on developing expertise and offering career opportunities in a wide range of technologies within the insurance sector. Role Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Android/iOS Developer in a Team Lead role to lead the design, development, and delivery of high-quality mobile applications for IT projects. This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for a developer who can write clean code, mentor team members, and drive project execution within Agile environments. Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities: Lead a team of Android and/or iOS developers through the full mobile application lifecycle from concept to delivery. Provide architectural guidance and make key decisions related to mobile platforms, performance, and scalability. Collaborate with product managers, UI/UX designers, QA engineers, and backend teams to deliver end-to-end solutions. Review code and ensure adherence to best practices, performance standards, and security guidelines. Manage sprint planning, estimations, and task allocation. Facilitate technical discussions, problem-solving, and risk mitigation. Mentor junior developers and provide technical support and knowledge sharing. Ensure timely delivery of mobile releases and manage app store submission processes. Stay updated with emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions. Key Competencies & Skills required Technical Skills: For Android: Proficient in Java and/or Kotlin. Experience with Android SDK, and Android Studio. Familiarity with MVVM architecture, SQLite/Room. Solid understanding of dependency injection For iOS: Proficient in Swift. Experience with Xcode, UIKit, SwiftUI, and iOS frameworks. Familiarity with MVC/MVVM architecture and Combine. Common Requirements: String experience with version control tools like Git. Understanding of mobile UI/UX and security best practices Familiarity with testing frameworks (JUnit, Espresso, XCTest, etc.). Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodology and tools like Jira or Azure DevOps. Strong problem-solving and debugging skills. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to lead code reviews and design discussions Nice to have: Exposure to cross-platform frameworks like Flutter or React Native. Experience with CI/CD pipelines for mobile. (e.g., Fastlane, Bitrise, GitHub Actions). Knowledge of App Store and Play Store deployment processes and compliance guidelines. Experience with Firebase, Crashlytics, mobile analytics, or A/B testing frameworks. Understanding of mobile architecture patterns (Clean Architecture, VIPER). Familiarity with accessibility standards and mobile performance optimization. Behavioral Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for working in a global environment Willingness to learn and quickly adapt to changing requirements Proactive approach to identifying issues and presenting solutions and options Previous Experience & Qualifications Minimum Educational Qualification: Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science /Engineering/Information Technology Candidate with non-computer science degree must have minimum 1 year of relevant experience Certification if any: Associate Android Developer Apple Certified iOS Developer Certified Mobile App Developer (CMAD) IBCS Years Experience & Knowledge: 3–5 years of experience in native mobile application development (Android and/or iOS). Proven experience with published apps on Google Play or Apple App Store. Experience working in Agile IT project environments with CI/CD workflows. Background in software developm
