Job description Role & responsibilities 1. OPERATIONAL LEADERSHIP: Collaborate with the reporting manager to develop and implement operational strategy that ensures reliability and collaborate with the reporting manager to develop and implement operational strategy that ensures reliability and efficient operation of the Waste to Energy plant. Supervise and lead team of operational and technical staff. Collaborate with department heads to develop and implement strategies for enhancing plant efficiency, reliability and safety. Monitor daily operations, troubleshoot issues, and make informed decisions to optimize plant performance. 2. MAINTENANCE & RELIABILITY: Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure regular maintenance, inspection and repairs are conducted to minimize downtime and maximize operational life of plant equipment. Implement best practices for preventative maintenance, implement outage plans and strategies to minimize downtime and maximize operational life of plant equipment. 3. BUDGETING, REVENUE, AND COST MANAGEMENT: Prepare and compile annual operation plan for annual budgets and financial plans for the WtE plant's operation and maintenance. Monitor and control operational expenses to ensure efficient resource utilization and cost effectiveness. Develop extra revenue sources from compost, ash bricks, ashes, etc. 4. PERFORMANCE MONITORING, IMPROVEMENT & REPORTING: Analyze operational data and key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, cost effectiveness and overall performance. Implement measures to optimize plant performance and achieve production charges. Prepare and present regular reports to senior management on operation, financial performance, highlighting key achievements, challenges and recommendations. 5. TEAM DEVELOPMENT: Provide leadership, guidance and monitoring to the portion and maintenance team, foster a culture of continuous learning, skill development and teamwork. Identify training needs and coordinate relevant training programs to enhance team member's skill and knowledge.
