CMM Engineer (Accurate Spectra)

Job description CMM Engineer (Accurate Spectra) We are seeking a skilled and precise CMM Engineer with 2-3 years of experience to join our quality assurance team in Moranapalli, Hosur. The ideal candidate will be proficient in operating Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM), particularly with Accurate Spectra software, to ensure the dimensional accuracy and quality of components produced through CNC-VMC/Machining processes. Responsibilities: Operate and program Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) using Accurate Spectra software to perform precise dimensional inspections of machined components. Conduct in-depth analysis of measurement data, identify deviations from engineering drawings and specifications, and generate detailed inspection reports. Interpret complex engineering blueprints, 2D/3D models, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) to create effective CMM inspection programs. Work with components produced through CNC-VMC and Machining processes, ensuring their quality meets stringent standards. Calibrate and maintain CMM equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability of measurements. Troubleshoot CMM program issues and measurement discrepancies, implementing corrective actions. Collaborate closely with production, engineering, and quality teams to provide feedback on part quality, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives. Assist in the development and optimization of inspection methods and procedures. Maintain comprehensive documentation of inspection results, CMM programs, and calibration records. Qualifications: Diploma or B.E. in Mechanical Engineering (Mech). 2 to 3 years of hands-on experience as a CMM Engineer or CMM Programmer. Demonstrated proficiency in operating and programming CMMs, with specific experience in Accurate Spectra software being highly advantageous. Strong understanding of CNC-VMC and Machining processes and their associated quality requirements. Excellent ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and apply GD&T principles. Solid knowledge of metrology principles and measurement techniques. Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001). Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Good communication and teamwork abilities. Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve effectively in a manufacturing environment.
