Job description Responsibilities: Operate, program, and maintain Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) using Zeiss Spectrum (or Calypso/PiWeb) software for precise dimensional inspection. Conduct detailed inspections of complex components from Engine Assembly, Gear, and Machining operations, verifying adherence to engineering drawings and specifications. Interpret intricate engineering blueprints, 2D/3D CAD models, and apply GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) principles effectively to create and execute CMM inspection programs. Analyze measurement data, identify deviations, perform root cause analysis for non-conformities, and generate comprehensive inspection reports. Perform routine calibration and maintenance of Zeiss CMM equipment to ensure measurement accuracy and reliability. Collaborate closely with production, design, and quality teams to provide critical feedback, support problem-solving, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Develop and optimize CMM programs and inspection methodologies to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Maintain meticulous documentation of inspection results, CMM programs, and calibration records. Qualifications: Diploma or Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Mechanical Engineering (Mech). 2 to 3 years of professional experience as a CMM Engineer or CMM Programmer. Demonstrated expertise in operating and programming Zeiss CMMs, with hands-on experience using Zeiss Spectrum (or Calypso/PiWeb) software being mandatory. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes related to Engine Assembly, Gears, and Machining. Exceptional ability to read, interpret, and apply engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T standards. Solid knowledge of metrology principles and various measurement techniques. Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949). Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality. Good communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively in a team environment.
