Senior Test Engineer

Job description Job Title: Senior Test Engineer Game QA Experience Required: 2 to 4 years Location: Bangalore Shift: Night Shift Employment Type: Full-Time Industry: Gaming / IT Services Department: Quality Assurance / Game Testing Overview We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Test Engineer to join our Game QA team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in game testing and quality assurance processes, with the ability to lead test planning and execution activities while mentoring junior team members. Role & responsibilities Conduct thorough testing of game features, functionality, and performance to identify defects and ensure a high-quality user experience. Create, manage, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases based on project requirements. Perform bug vetting by reviewing reported issues, validating severity, and ensuring accurate documentation. Collaborate closely with QA Leads and development teams to report issues, verify fixes, and maintain clear communication throughout the QA cycle. Assist with onboarding and training new QA team members, providing guidance and support as needed. Participate in regular QA meetings and contribute to improving overall QA processes and efficiency. Take ownership of tasks and ensure they are completed within the defined timelines and quality standards. Perform additional QA-related tasks as assigned by the QA Lead. Preferred candidate profile 2 to 4 years of experience in game testing. Strong understanding of QA methodologies, bug lifecycle, and test planning. Hands-on experience with bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla, Mantis). Familiarity with different types of testing such as functional, regression, performance, and exploratory testing. Excellent communication and documentation skills. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Passion for gaming and understanding of game mechanics and user experience.
