Job description Career gap also acceptable Position: SAP Basis Consultant Experience: 5+ Years Work type: Contract Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced SAP Basis Consultant to manage and support the SAP technical environment, ensuring the system's performance, availability, and security. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with system administration, upgrades, patching, performance tuning, and troubleshooting in SAP environments. Key Responsibilities: Install, configure, and maintain SAP systems (ECC, S/4HANA, BW, PI/PO, Solution Manager, etc.) Perform SAP system upgrades, enhancement packs, support packs, and kernel updates. Monitor SAP system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and optimal performance. Manage transport requests and support change management processes. Perform user administration, role/profile management, and authorization support. Implement and maintain SAP backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies. Collaborate with functional, development, and infrastructure teams to resolve issues and implement solutions. Manage database (HANA, Oracle, MS SQL, or DB2) administration tasks related to SAP systems. Support system copies, client refreshes, and SAP Landscape transformation projects. Maintain SAP Notes and support packages, and coordinate with SAP OSS (SAP Support). Document procedures, configurations, and changes to SAP environments. Required Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in SAP Basis administration. Strong understanding of SAP architecture and system landscapes. Experience with SAP HANA and/or traditional RDBMS like Oracle, SQL Server, etc. Knowledge of SAP security concepts and authorization management. Familiarity with operating systems (Linux/UNIX/Windows). Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus. Exposure to SAP Solution Manager, SAP Fiori, and Web Dispatcher is desirable. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
