Job description The Quality Assurance Analyst follows quality assurance standards, procedures, and measures to ensure that business requirements are testable and verifiable as identified by the Architect and Subject Matter Experts. This professional will also write test plans, test scripts, and automation roadmaps. Tracks defects and fixes. He/she will work as a member of the Quality Assurance team that will provide technical leadership, propose improvements to tools and processes to maximize efficiency, business investments, and meet deadlines. Agile and customer-focused (both internal and external) Quality Assurance is critical to maintaining XAPposition as a market leader. Key Responsibilities Reproduce and validate expected behavior of all production defects found. Create, verify, and close defects for new feature development on the defect tracking system. Plan, create, maintain, and execute test plans, test cases, project plans based on the analysis of business requirements, user stories, and technical specifications. Document, track, and communicate test results to project stakeholders. Perform functional, integration, and regression testing for all feature development on testing, UAT, and production environments. Execute, analyze and report automated test suite runs. Support production deployment, including flexible work hours as needed. Working with analysts, project manager, scrum masters, team members, and stakeholders, propose additions to automation roadmaps for software applications; communicate test progress, test results, and other relevant information. Work with minimal supervision. Records and reports on test metrics. Cultivates and disseminates knowledge of Quality Assurance and best practices. Participates on planning, testing, and walkthroughs of end-user reviews and UAT for modified and/or new software applications. Multitask between concurrent projects, as needed. Work effectively with a remote development team, as needed. Work with project management to understand workload and prioritization. Requirements Bachelordegree in a computer related field Minimum 5 years in computer science, programming or Web development Minimum 3 years of experience in the testing of software products. Working knowledge of Relational Databases Proven experience using SQL to create data sets, and data mining. Strong knowledge of software development life cycle Proficient in documenting and executing: Test plans, Test case, and traceability matrices. Cross-browser / Cross-platform / Cross-OS /Mobile testing Experience executing and reporting results of automation suites. Proactively take on work in a fast-changing environment. Kanban. Working knowledge on Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) sizing. Defect tracking systems: JIRA is a strong plus.
