Job description Exp : 5+ Yrs in Shopify. Communication Skills : Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required. Role Overview : Were seeking a Senior Shopify Developer with deep expertise in Shopifys Liquid templating language and the broader Shopify ecosystem. Youll work directly with our US-based client to architect, build, and optimize bespoke Shopify storefrontsdriving performance, UX, and scalability from concept through launch. Key Responsibilities : - Custom Theme Development : Architect and build custom Shopify themes using Liquid, JSON-templates (OS 2.0), HTML5, and CSS3. - Front-End Engineering : Implement responsive, accessible layouts; optimize load times; and integrate interactive features (AJAX carts, dynamic filtering). - App & API Integration : Leverage Shopifys REST and GraphQL Admin APIs, Storefront API, and third-party apps; build private/public apps or middleware when needed. - UX Collaboration : Translate Figma/Sketch designs into pixel-perfect Shopify implementations; provide feedback on design feasibility and best practices. - Code Quality & Maintenance : Write clean, modular, DRY code; enforce Shopifys theme development style guide; perform code reviews and maintain Git workflows. - Performance Monitoring : Use tools like Google Lighthouse and Shopify Theme Check to audit and improve performance, accessibility, and SEO. - Mentorship & Leadership : Guide mid-level developers, conduct technical walkthroughs, and champion best practices across the team. Required Qualifications : - Experience : 5+ years of professional e-commerce development, with at least 3 years specialization in Shopify. - Liquid Mastery : Strong command of Shopify Liquid tags, filters, objects, sections, and snippets. - Front-End Stack : Expert-level HTML5, CSS3 (Flexbox/Grid), and JavaScript (ES6+); familiarity with modern build tools (Webpack, Gulp). - Shopify Tooling : Proficient with Shopify CLI, Theme Kit, Git, and local development workflows. - API Fluency : Hands-on experience with Shopifys REST/GraphQL APIs and webhook integrations. - Performance & Accessibility : Demonstrated ability to optimize storefront speed and meet WCAG guidelines. - Communication : Excellent English communication skills to collaborate with US-based stakeholders and cross-functional teams. Nice-to-Have : - Experience with headless commerce frameworks (e.g., Next.js, Gatsby). - Familiarity with Shopify Plus features and Launchpad. - Knowledge of SEO best practices specific to Shopify themes. - Background in unit/integration testing (Jest, Cypress).
