Proposal Engineer

Job description A Proposal Engineer in the water treatment industry is responsible for preparing and submitting technical and commercial proposals for water treatment projects. This role involves understanding client requirements, designing suitable treatment solutions, estimating costs, and coordinating with various internal teams to develop competitive bids. Role & responsibilities (Proposal Preparation:) 1 Analyze tender documents, client requirements, and technical specifications. 2 Develop detailed technical and commercial proposals for water and wastewater treatment systems. 3 Prepare process flow diagrams, system designs, and technical write-ups. 4 Ensure proposals comply with industry standards and client specifications. (Cost Estimation & Pricing:) 1 Estimate project costs, including equipment, materials, labor, and installation. 2 Work with procurement and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing for components. 3 Prepare detailed Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and cost breakdowns. ( Technical & Process Design:) 1 Select appropriate treatment technologies (e.g., RO, UF, ETP, STP, ZLD, etc.). 2 Size and specify equipment based on process requirements. 3 Conduct feasibility studies and performance calculations. ( Client Interaction & Coordination:) 1 Engage with clients to clarify technical requirements and offer optimized solutions. 2 Present proposals and conduct technical discussions. 3 Coordinate with sales, design, and execution teams to ensure project feasibility. ( Documentation & Compliance:) 1 Prepare technical submittals, drawings, and compliance statements. 2 Ensure proposals meet environmental regulations and quality standards. 3 Maintain records of enquiry registration, proposals, revisions, and client feedback.
