Job description Senior Engineer - Electrical Design/Substation Design/Solar Plant System Design We are currently hiring experienced Electrical Design professionals working in Solar power plant for the following position at our Chennai location 1) Senior Engineer - Substation Design: - Preparation of all Primary Engineering Deliverables. Experience in handling complete Engineering deliverables for AIS /GIS projects, Exposure to International experience Standards IEC, IEEE, IS, ANSI, EN standards. - Substation layouts and section drawings preparation (2D, 3D) for budgetary offers / tenders / projects based on customer specification. - EHV/HV/MV/LV Cable Engineering including sizing, installation details and calculations up to 400KV voltage class - Prepare, review, and validate Bill of material for tenders or projects based on requirement. - Responsible for all design calculations related to Primary Engineering (AIS /GIS) Equipment layout preparations, earthing system design, DSLP system design, lighting system design, Battery Design, LT distribution system for substations etc. - Thorough knowledge of HT switch yard and Substation design of 11 KV to 220 KV (up to 400 KV preferred), Understanding key diagram, Earth mat design and Substation SCADA requirements (IEC 104 etc) is essential. - Technical data sheets verification of primary equipment. Knowledge of primary equipment, such as GIS, circuit breakers, disconnectors, earthing switches, instrument transformers, power transformers, VT, PT etc. - Knowledge of design and tech parameters of HT transformer (up to 220 KV) including type tests and RTCC panels. - Use creativity wherever appropriate to provide best solutions for the given situation within the framework of tender continuously develop standard templates and databases for tender engineering. - Vendor Offer Evaluations. FAT / SAT of primary equipment, system as and when needed. - Broad understanding of Protection and Control (PC), SCADA, Telecom, Tele protection, as well as substation design. - Knowledge and exposure on protection functions for electrical power transmission lines, power transformers, insulation coordination study. - Designing protection and control schemes(C&R) for series compensated lines. - Knowledge on analysis of fault records and fault annunciations from protection relays, substation control and protection systems, SAS, SUS panels and SCADA. Soft Skills: Auto CAD, Dialux, ETAP, PSCAD, PSSE. 2) Senior Engineer - Solar Plant System Design - Design of Rooftop & Ground mount Solar power plants. - Preparation of Technical Specification of Equipment's. - Preparation of PV Syst, AUTO CAD and Sketch up drawings. - Preparation of SLD, Layouts, BOM, etc., - Preparation of Design Calculation as per applicable standards. - Should have hands on experience in solar projects.
