Job description About the Role : We are seeking an experienced Staff Engineer with a strong background in JavaScript and object-oriented programming (OOP) to lead technical initiatives, mentor junior developers, and drive architectural excellence within our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing new features, reviewing existing architecture, and implementing scalable and efficient solutions in a fast-paced, high-traffic environment. Experience range expected is 12-15 years. Key Responsibilities : - Architect and Solution New Features - Design and develop scalable and maintainable solutions for new product features. - Architectural Review & Refactoring - Evaluate existing system architecture, identify inefficiencies, and implement improvements. - Mentorship & Leadership - Provide guidance to junior developers, fostering growth and best coding practices. - Enforce High Standards - Ensure code quality, maintainability, and performance through best practices, including design patterns, code reviews, and automated testing. - Implement Architecture Patterns - Introduce and refine architectural patterns to enhance scalability, security, and maintainability. - Optimize for Scalability - Build and maintain highly scalable, high-performance systems capable of handling substantial user traffic. - Industry-Specific API Integration - Work with travel-industry-related APIs (such as GDS, airline, hotel, or booking systems) to streamline integrations. - Technology Best Practices - Stay up-to-date with modern technologies, continuously improving the team's technical stack and processes. Qualifications & Experience : - Expertise in JavaScript and a deep understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles. - Proficiency in TypeScript (strongly preferred). - Experience with scalable system design and distributed architectures. - Strong knowledge of software design patterns and best practices. - Previous experience leading architectural discussions and re-architecting systems for efficiency. - Mentorship experience, with a passion for coaching and elevating junior developers. - Understanding of highly scalable, cloud-based systems. - Prior experience with travel-industry-related APIs (e.g, GDS, airline, hotel, or booking systems) is a huge plus. - Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps best practices, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure). - Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally Role: Head - Engineering Industry Type: IT Services & Consulting Department: Engineering - Software & QA Employment Type: Full Time, Permanent Role Category: Software Development Education UG: Any Graduate PG: Any Postgraduate Doctorate: Doctorate Not Required Key Skills Skills highlighted with ‘‘ are preferred keyskills JavaScript TypeScriptJavaOOPGDSCI/CD
