Job description Job Title: VP Network and Datacenter Location: Mumbai (work from office). Candidates looking for remote working or not comfortable with the job location need not apply. Summary: Developing and implementing network and Datacenter strategies to meet organizational goals. This leadership position involves strategic planning, resource management, and ensuring the network and datacenter reliability and security. Shall be responsible for ensuring the day-to-day operations and maintenance of the organization's network infrastructure in accordance with the business needs of ensuring the availability, security, and performance of the network environment. Collaborate with diverse teams to ensure the smooth functioning, security, and optimization of the network environment. Responsibilities: 1. Develop and implement network strategies to meet organizational goals. 2. Analyse network performance and utilization, capacity planning and implementing performance tuning strategies and technologies to enhance network efficiency, reliability, and scalability. 3. Ensure network security and data protection measures are in place. 4. Manage a team of network engineers and IT professionals. 5. Collaborate with other departments to align network initiatives with business objectives. 6. Monitor and optimize network performance to ensure high availability and reliability. 7. Establish and enforce network policies and procedures. 8. Coordinate with vendors and service providers for network-related services. 9. Conduct regular network audits and assessments. 10. Plan and execute network upgrades and migrations. 11.Develop disaster recovery and business continuity plans. 12. Stay updated on the latest networking technologies and industry trends. 13. Manage the network budget and allocate resources efficiently. 14. Provide technical guidance and support to network staff. 15. Handle network-related incidents and troubleshoot issues. 16. Prepare reports and documentation on network performance and activities. 17. Ensure & maintain up-to-date documentation - SOPs, network diagrams (HLD, LLD), descriptions, configurations etc. to remove dependency on people 18. Manage network configuration changes and deployments according to established change management processes, ensuring minimal disruption and adherence to best practices. 19. Ensure hardening, latest stable version and security patches of network devices and solutions. 20. Track EOL/EOS and ensure that there no technology obsolescence. 21. Ensure resolution of network incidents and outages, coordinating with internal teams and external vendors to restore service within agreed-upon SLAs. 22. Ensure relevant processes are followed for change, incident & daily operations 23. Identify & analyse pain areas in existing process & implement improvements 24. Manage operational issues which require design/technical inputs. 25. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, 26. Publish the relevant dashboards and status updates. 27. Escalate deviations and violations in a timely manner. 28. Remain current with latest trends and emerging networking technologies, industry best-practices and developments in networking domain; and recommend improvements 29. Along with Network, Individual will be responsible for the Cloud Services Datacenter Planning, Design, Execute and Operation Education: Engineering/Technology/Science Graduate or Equivalent. Experience: Candidate should have 18+ years of experience, Banking and Technology experience will be preferred. Certification: Candidate with relevant professional certifications like CCNA, CCNP, CCIE or CCDE or equivalent in Networking domain will be preferred. Knowledge: 1. Sound experience managing network technologies and operations in a large and complex network environment 2. Hands-on with physical / virtual networking concepts, concepts for efficiency in operations by using software defined network solutions, cloud networking concepts, availability and resilience concepts in networking etc. 3.
