Job description Role & responsibilities The PPMC (Production Planning & Material Control) Head is responsible for leading and coordinating all production planning, scheduling, and material control activities to ensure efficient manufacturing operations and timely delivery. This role involves strategic planning, team management, and cross-functional collaboration with procurement, production, and logistics. Key responsibilities - - Develop and implement production plans and schedules based on demand forecasts, production capacity, and inventory levels. - Ensure material supply meets production requirements with minimal stock levels while optimizing costs. - Analyze raw material and consumables requirements, verify stock, and initiate procurement as needed. - Monitor production activities, address deviations, and adjust plans to meet delivery timelines. - Oversee inventory management, maintain BOM (Bill of Materials) accuracy, and minimize obsolete stock. - Lead and coach the production planning and material control team to achieve departmental objectives. - Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely material availability and resolve supply chain issues. - Prepare and present operational reports, metrics, and status updates to management. - Support continuous improvement initiatives and implement best practices in production planning and material control. - Ensure compliance with quality and safety standards, such as ISO 9001 and IATF 16949. Preferred candidate profile Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, production planning, and inventory management. - Experience with ERP systems and production monitoring tools. - Leadership, analytical, and problem-solving abilities. - Effective communication and collaboration skills. - Technical background (B.E) with relevant experience in automotive or related manufacturing environments.
