Job description Role Overview The Head National Outreach Program is a senior leadership role focused on providing technical expertise and strategic direction for CanKids state-level pediatric oncology initiatives. The position is responsible for developing, guiding, and integrating outreach models into public health systems, while building capacities of state teams and engaging government stakeholders. It requires strong public health knowledge, experience in government and community healthcare, and the ability to lead collaborative, evidence-based programs that drive access, financial protection, and improved survival outcomes. Key Responsibilities Lead the design, standardization, and continuous refinement of all NOP models including CCC, CHSU, HAH, and Care Centres. Develop and update SOPs, manuals, toolkits, policy documents, and model roadmaps for implementation across states. Provide technical guidance to regional teams for contextualized implementation aligned with CanKids strategic goals. Engage with state and central health departments for program integration into government schemes (e.g., NPCDCS, AB-PMJAY). Facilitate MoUs with state governments and ensure alignment with CanKids CCC roadmap. Represent CanKids in key government forums, policy discussions, and health missions. Design and deliver capacity building modules and training programs for internal teams, government health workers, and partner organizations. Mentor and support state coordinators and regional heads on model implementation, public health systems, and data-informed decision-making. Collaborate with the MELS team to ensure robust data collection, reporting, and analysis. Ensure real-time updates and data integrity through platforms like Salesforce (vCAN). Use MELS insights to strengthen program strategy, learning, and evidence-based decision-making. Other Extended Duties Required Qualifications and Skills: Master s or PhD in Public Health, Epidemiology, or Community Health, OR MBBS with a Master s in Public Health or MBA in Healthcare Management. Minimum 12 15 years of leadership experience in public health, community health programs, or pediatric/child health systems. Proven track record of engagement with government health departments and integrating programs into public systems.
