Job description Head of R&D for our Bus Body Division to lead the design, development, and implementation of new and improved bus body products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive or commercial vehicle body design and engineering, with proven leadership capabilities in managing multidisciplinary teams, driving innovation, and ensuring product compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities Lead the R&D function for the Bus Body Division, overseeing the complete product lifecycle from concept to launch. Drive innovation in materials, structural design, safety features, ergonomics, and cost-effective manufacturing processes. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Management, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain to align R&D efforts with business objectives. Manage and mentor a team of design engineers, CAD specialists, and testing engineers. Oversee prototyping, testing, and validation of bus body structures in accordance with national and international standards (AIS, CMVR, ECE, etc.). Establish and maintain relationships with external partners, suppliers, research institutions, and regulatory bodies. Ensure compliance with all safety, regulatory, and quality standards. Monitor industry trends, competitor products, and emerging technologies to guide strategic planning. Lead continuous improvement initiatives in product performance, quality, cost, and manufacturing processes. Key Requirements Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field. Minimum 15 years of experience in automotive R&D, preferably in commercial vehicle or bus body design and development. Proven leadership experience in managing R&D teams and projects.
