Job description Job Title: AM/DM (Automobile Welding Jig Development and Vehicle Quality Control) Educational Qualification: B.E. /B TECH (Mechanical Engg / Automobile / Production / Industrial) Work Experience: a) Years of exp. Desired: 3~5 yrs Experience in Automobile Industry (Passenger Vehicle), b) Nature of work exp.: Design and development of welding jigs for BIW Manufacturing and Quality Control Key responsibilities: Job Profile - DMU Study and BIW process planning for DP trial execution. - Manual welding jig Design development through supplier. - Prototype welding jig concept making. - Sourcing (RFQ, Negotiation, Target Cost, PO) of Welding jigs. - BIW inspection and countermeasure for meeting accuracy target. - Sheet metal parts inspection and holding fixture concept making. - Layout and facility planning. - Create extensive process and sustainable check-sheets for part inspection and quality checks Competencies: a) Essential - Sound understanding of passenger vehicle construction and quality requirements. Knowledge of welding processes and general understanding of machining process. Knowledge of welding jigs and fixture for spot welding operation. Knowledge of inspection processes of sheet metal parts and BIW (like CMM/Laser scanning). Knowledge of part drawings, Tolerance stack up, basic GDT and SES quality standards. Basic UG/CAD skill. Basic 3D printing skill b) Desirable - Good communication skill, interaction with internal customer and suppliers. Project management, execution and monitoring skill. Quality management system (ISO) knowledge Any other specific job requirement: Must have zeal to take pride in work and support in team deliverables.
