Team Lead - Operations

Job description Role Overview We are seeking a Team Lead: Operations to drive daily execution across departments like administration, logistics, sales support, art restoration, and executive assistance. Your primary responsibility will be to push and monitor the activities of team members across these functions, ensuring deadlines are met, operations are smooth, and every individual is accountable. Reporting to the Gallery Director and collaborating closely with the current Team Lead: Operations, youll serve as the operational nerve center of the gallery. Role & responsibilities 1. Task Oversight & Accountability Drive execution across functions by regularly following up with team members on task completion. Track status of tasks and MIS deliverables across Admin, Sales, Logistics, EA, and Restoration. Identify delays, gaps, or roadblocks early and take corrective action. Conduct regular check-ins with staff to ensure clarity, alignment, and progress. 2. Operational Coordination Maintain updated records on sales, inventory, and exhibitions. Collaborate with vendors and clients to support ongoing initiatives. Ensure smooth execution of gallery events, exhibitions, and client servicing activities. 3. Process & Performance Management Use systems to create visibility and accountability across teams. Suggest process improvements based on observed bottlenecks or inefficiencies. Design or improve checklists, SOPs, and flowcharts for better coordination. 4. Administration & Compliance Support overall upkeep of gallery premises, resources, and supplies. Coordinate with legal or government bodies as needed. 5. Communication & Reporting Provide regular operational updates to the Gallery Director. Ensure all communications are timely, professional, and aligned with gallery standards. Represent the gallery in external coordination when needed. Preferred candidate profile Bachelors degree in Arts Management, Business Administration, or equivalent; MBA/PGDM preferred. 1–3 years of experience in mid-level team management. Strong leadership, interpersonal, and time management skills. Ability to work cross-functionally and maintain momentum on multiple priorities. Hands-on knowledge of productivity tools. Exposure to creative, retail, or cultural sectors is a plus.
