The Role We re looking for a QA Team Lead who can take ownership of our QA function from end to end. You ll lead the department, mentor a small team (1-2 members), and be deeply involved in manual testing of our product. This role is perfect for someone with 3-5 years of experience who s ready to step into a leadership position, while staying hands-on and close to the product. Key Responsibilities (What we ll count on you for) QA Function Coordination (30%) As a senior QA, you will coordinate and drive all aspects of the QA function at Tagalys. Support and collaborate with QA team members (1-2 members) with guidance on day-to-day tasks Contribute to QA strategies and help implement best practices and process improvements Help establish and track QA KPIs and quality metrics with guidance from Product/Engineering teams Conduct regular check-ins and 1:1s to align goals and support growth. Plan and distribute testing responsibilities based on capacity and sprint needs. Maintain QA documentation, templates, and process guidelines. Act as the primary point of contact for QA issues and escalations. Collaborate with Product and Engineering on release timelines and quality gates. Participate in hiring processes and support the onboarding of new QA team members Quality Assurance Execution (70%) Analyzing Requirements and Preparing Test Plans Review PRDs, mockups, and storyboards to identify testing needs. Prepare detailed test plans including timelines, environment setup, and resource planning. Align test plans with relevant stakeholders. Defining and Executing Test Cases Design and maintain thorough manual test cases. Collaborate with the team to review and refine test cases. Execute test cases and document results. Bug Reporting Log bugs with clear reproduction steps and visual references. Categorize issues by impact (Critical, High, Medium, Low). Coordinate with engineering to track resolution and re-test fixes. Keep stakeholders updated on testing outcomes and issue statuses. Deployments and QA Process Work closely with developers during deployments. Review and refine QA processes and checklists regularly. Maintain organised documentation and test history. Requirements 3-5 years in Software Quality Assurance Experience coordinating QA efforts for small teams Willingness to learn leadership responsibilities with mentorship and support over time Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, best practices, and metrics Skilled in test planning, case writing, and bug tracking tools Excellent communication and documentation skills Experience testing web apps, preferably in eCommerce Ability to prioritise and work effectively in fast-paced settings Strong problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail Experience with Agile/Scrum environments Nice to Have Exposure to Shopify or other eCommerce platforms Experience with B2B SaaS products Familiarity with project management tools What we Offer At Tagalys, we know our people are our greatest strength, and we ve built a culture that prioritizes growth, well-being, and shared success.
