Job description Role & responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain WebFOCUS reports, dashboards, and portals. Collaborate with business users to gather requirements and convert them into scalable BI solutions. Optimize queries, reports, and portal performance to ensure a seamless user experience. Maintain and administer the WebFOCUS environment, including upgrades, patching, and troubleshooting. Integrate WebFOCUS with various data sources such as Oracle, SQL Server, and flat files. Ensure data security, access controls, and compliance standards are implemented in the BI solutions. Document system design, technical specifications, and user manuals. Participate in UAT, performance testing, and deployment processes. Work closely with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to ensure alignment of deliverables. Preferred candidate profile Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with WebFOCUS (8.x or higher). Proficiency in InfoAssist, App Studio, ReportCaster, and WebFOCUS Designer. Strong SQL skills and understanding of data warehousing concepts. Experience working with OLAP, ETL pipelines, and data models. Solid understanding of HTML, JavaScript, and CSS for custom report development. Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and DevOps practices. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of REST APIs and WebFOCUS API integrations. Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP. Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies and collaborative tools like JIRA or Confluence. Certification in Information Builders WebFOCUS (preferred but not mandatory).
