Job description Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced and proactive Manager Industrial Relations to manage plant-level IR activities at our Ambernath facility. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of labour laws, union negotiations, and compliance requirements, along with advanced MS Excel skills for data analysis and reporting. Key Responsibilities: Industrial Relations & Legal Compliance Manage day-to-day employee relations, union handling, and grievance redressal at the plant level. Build and sustain strong relationships with unions and contract labour stakeholders. Ensure statutory compliance with labour laws (Factories Act, ID Act, CLRA, etc.) and handle labour inspections. Represent the company in discussions with labour departments, legal forums, and government bodies. Employee Engagement & Communication Conduct engagement activities and communication forums with workmen and contract labourers. Promote a collaborative and compliant work environment through proactive communication. Data Management & Excel Reporting Maintain Excel-based dashboards and MIS for absenteeism, workforce planning, disciplinary cases, grievances, etc. Use advanced Excel functions (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Power Query, Charts, etc.) for trend analysis and IR reporting. Prepare monthly and ad-hoc IR/HR reports for management review. Policy Implementation & Process Improvement Assist in the implementation of IR and HR policies across the plant. Support audits, inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives related to workforce management. Key Skills & Competencies: Sound knowledge of IR practices and Indian labour laws. Proven ability to manage union negotiations, shop-floor engagement, and conflict resolution. Advanced proficiency in MS Excel – a must for reporting and data-driven IR strategy. Strong interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills. High integrity and ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Preferred Industry Experience: Pharmaceutical, chemical, or other regulated manufacturing environments.
