Job description Job Description Procurement & Sourcing: Plan and forecast material requirements for automation and robotic projects, ensuring timely procurement of high-quality components and systems. Source, evaluate, and onboard suppliers for robotic, automation, and material handling equipment. Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with vendors to optimize cost and quality. Manage end-to-end procurement processes from RFQ to purchase order, delivery, and project closeout. Project Management: Lead and coordinate automation and material handling projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with project timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Develop detailed project plans, manage project risks, and ensure proactive problem-solving. Collaborate with engineering, technical, and operations teams to define project requirements and deliverables. Monitor project progress, prepare reports, and ensure project documentation is accurate and up-to-date. Material Handling & Automation Expertise: Oversee the selection, installation, and commissioning of robotic, automation, and material handling systems. Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and best practices in automation. Drive continuous improvement in procurement and project execution processes. Inventory & Supplier Management: Maintain optimal inventory levels for critical parts and manage supplier performance. Conduct regular audits and quality checks with suppliers to uphold standards. Manage logistics and transportation for project materials as required. Qualifications & Skills Education: Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred. Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in procurement and project management, with a strong focus on material handling and automation. Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office (especially Excel). Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills. Experience with material handling equipment, robotics, and automation technologies. Soft Skills: Leadership, problem-solving, and team collaboration. Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders.
