Job description Position Details: Position Type: Off - roll/ Contractual Designation: Executive/ Sr. Executive - Compliance Job Location: Prabhadevi Working Days: 5 days (Monday to Friday) Role Overview: The candidate will be responsible for managing and ensuring adherence to all statutory and regulatory requirements related to payroll, labor laws, and licensing across states. The role demands a strong understanding of compliance management, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple regulatory tasks efficiently. Key Responsibilities: 1. Payroll Compliance: Ensure timely and accurate submission of all statutory returns related to payroll including PF, ESI, PT, LWF, and TDS. Monitor updates in payroll-related laws and ensure company practices are aligned. Coordinate with finance and HR teams for payroll audits and statutory inspections. 2. Licensing Management: Manage and renew Shops C Establishment (SCE) Licenses, Professional Tax (PT) Registrations, and Trade Licenses across all operational states. Track expiration dates and proactively initiate the renewal process. Liaise with government departments for obtaining new licenses when required. 3. Signage License Compliance: Handle applications, renewals, and compliance requirements related to signage licenses for stores and offices. Ensure all advertising and signage meet state-specific legal and municipal requirements. 4. Labour Compliance for New Stores: Ensure that all labor law compliances are in place for new store openings, including registrations under applicable labor laws (e.g., CLRA, minimum wages compliance, establishment registration). Coordinate with legal advisors and consultants to ensure timely submissions and approvals. Maintain compliance documentation and provide necessary support during labor inspections. Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in HRM or Law 23 years of experience in statutory compliance and licensing, preferably in a retail or multi-location environment. Strong knowledge of labor laws, payroll compliance, and licensing procedures across states. Good communication and coordination skills with government bodies and internal teams. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
