Job description Specific Job Responsibilities Hospital Safety Officer: 1. Responsible for knowing what national and local laws, regulations, building and fire safety codes, and other Requirements, such as licenses and permits, apply to the hospitals facilities 2. Maintaining and documenting compliance with local and national laws, regulations, building and fire safety norms, inspection reports, and other facility requirements 3. Planning and budgeting for the necessary replacement or upgrading of facilities, systems, and equipment to meet applicable requirements or as identified by monitoring data or to meet applicable requirements and providing evidence of progress toward implementing the improvements 4. Responsible for staff education about the facility, how to reduce risks, and how to monitor and to report situations that pose risk. 5. Responsible for integrating and coordinating the activities and functions of the overall facility management and safety structure 6. Responsible for All FMS plans (eight) are planned and developed for the following: safety, security, hazardous materials and waste, fire safety, medical equipment, utility systems, emergency and disaster management and construction and renovation. 7. Ensures that all FMS plans (eight) are evaluated and monitored. 8. Ensures that all FMS Plans (Eight) are reviewed and revised at least annually Fire Safety: 1. Develop and regularly update comprehensive fire safety protocols and procedures. 2. Oversee the installation and maintenance of fire detection and suppression systems. 3. Organize and conduct regular fire drills to ensure staff familiarity with emergency procedures. 4. Provide training to all staff members on effective response to fire incidents. Coordinate with local fire departments and authorities to ensure compliance with fire safety regulations and standards. Hazardous Material Management: 1. Establish and maintain a robust hazardous materials management program. 2. Ensure proper storage, labeling, handling, and disposal of hazardous substances. 3. Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards. 4. Educate all employees on safe handling practices for hazardous materials. 5. Stay informed about changing regulations related to hazardous materials and ensure facility compliance. Housekeeping: 1. Implement a robust monitoring and control system to align consumption with budgetary constraints, incorporating both weekly and monthly periodic assessments. 2. Adherence to budgeted consumption levels. 1. Management of mid-month inventory levels. 2. Execute monthly ABC FMS analysis and initiate corresponding corrective actions. 3. Enforce stringent inventory control procedures to prevent inventory discrepancies and expirations throughout the fiscal year. 4. Establish a comprehensive inventory analysis and audit framework. 5. Maintain inventory turnover periods consistently below 25 days and 35 days, respectively. Food & Beverage: 1. Ensure the development and execution of a monthly promotional plan for the caf. 2. Implement strategies for effective pricing, waste reduction, utilization of standard recipe cards, process improvements in the kitchen, margin analysis at the product level for promotional planning, introduction of a South Indian menu, and promotion of upselling during billing while optimizing input costs. 3. Monitor margins in alignment with the business plan and conduct audits and feedback sessions on processes. 4. Develop an annual food promotion plan for the caf. 5. Enhance customer satisfaction and revenue through the implementation of menu display and effective menu planning. 6. Introduce HACCP standards to ensure kitchen safety and hygiene. 7. Establish standardized recipe cards, conduct potential cost analyses, create a uniform menu, and incorporate a low-calorie diet menu. Linen: 1. Monthly / Quarterly inventories to be conducted.
