ICU Incharge- Nursing

Job description Specific Job Responsibilities Implementation & Execution of SOPs Ensure proper admission, transfer, and discharge of patient. Plans Nursing Care and makes patients assignment as per their Nursing needs. Assists in the direct care of the patient as and when required. Ensure every staff hands & take over the patient properly in all shifts. Plan the type of care to be given to various patients and implement the same. Ensure the patients are received and transferred as per nursing protocol. Ensure every patients all parameters are observed / recorded and is reported to the doctor by the nursing staff. Makes round with doctors. Assists him in diagnosis and treatment of the patients Observes and submit monthly nursing compliance of Nsg. Staff. Ensure safety, comfort & good personal hygiene of all patients. Resolving patients complaints and ensuring escalation of unresolved complaints to appropriate authorities. Inventory Management Ensure every staff hands & take over the inventory item properly in all shifts Periodical Inventory checking and maintaining of the stock register. Submission of list of obsolete item for condemnation & getting the replacement on time Checking the expiry date of drugs & disposable submitting monthly reports to the Asst. Nursing officer. Staff management & training Conducting Departmental Induction program for recruits Conducting clinical teaching as per day to day need of patient Ensuring adequate knowledge of all drugs & its actions, various equipments the department to update the knowledge of Nsg. Staff. Preparing the duty ROTA of the staff Efficient Planning of leave for Nsg. Staff without interrupting the routine of Emergency department / ambulatory services. Nursing Unit Management Make sure that all the equipments in department like monitors, defibrillators, syringe pumps, suction machine , oxygen equipments accessories & various instruments etc. are functioning well at all times and inform about the dysfunction of equipment to the concerned authority for the immediate repair / replacement and ensure that correction is done in a timely manner . Provision of all linen /Material /drugs and other recourses round the clock. Ensure that the crash cart is maintained throughout as per the list. Miscellaneous Act as a liaison officer between superiors and subordinates. Reporting adverse events to authorities Maintaining records and reports Experience- 10 years and above Qualifications--Diploma / B.Sc.
