Consultant Neurologist

Job description Patient Care: Conduct thorough patient evaluations, including medical history, physical exams, and neurological assessments. Diagnose and manage a wide range of neurological conditions such as epilepsy, stroke, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, and neuropathies. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including medication management, lifestyle modifications, and referrals to specialists as needed. Provide counselling and education to patients and their families about neurological conditions and treatment options. Clinical Procedures: Perform and interpret diagnostic tests and procedures, such as EEGs, EMGs, lumbar punctures, and neuroimaging studies. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and optimal patient outcomes. Research and Development: Stay current with advancements in neurology and contribute to research and clinical trials as appropriate. Participate in academic and professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with medical regulations and standards. Prepare and present reports, case studies, and findings as required for internal and external purposes. Administrative Duties: Manage patient appointments, follow-ups, and referrals in an organized and timely manner. Participate in departmental meetings, case reviews, and quality improvement initiatives.
