Job description IBM DB2 Database Administrator * Daily management, maintenance, monitoring, and tuning for DB2 v9.0 and V9.5 databases in UNIX environment (RHEL 5.0 to RHEL 7.2) * Perform database software installations including database creation, configuration and applying fix packs and migration of databases as per the Patch Applicability Matrix. * Should be aware about application SQL Query tuning, database parameter tuning, * Must have an idea of DB online/Offline backup and recover * Implementing purging policies over the database servers as per the customer data retention periods. * Must have performed DB2 migration * Installation and configuration of DB2 Database servers for standalone and DPF environments in Linux and AIX operating systems. * Performing table space re-balancing for ensuring the equal data distribution across all the data mounts and applying compress methods on tables for storage savings. * DB2 pureScale Skills..
