Manager - Electrical Simulation Engineer

Job description RPG Group External Job Description Key Deliverables Active participation in the design reviews in the product development process, including the understanding of customer requirements and mapping to CTQ (critical to quality) design features. Effective design of the Products to meet the Electrical and mechanical requirements as per the application and governing standards. Scrutinize design concepts using PUGH matrix for cost, lead time, quality, standardization, supply assurance, and compliance with customer, regulatory, and internal requirements. Conduct FEA simulations to achieve optimum design and provide analysis reports on the design with feedback and enhancements if any needed. Conduct product sizing and power system analysis, and design both outdoor and indoor electrical systems. Perform partial discharge (PD) analysis and transient over voltage analysis to identify and mitigate potential issues. Develop designs that meet electromagnetic interference (EMI) and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) standards. Interpret the results from CAE tools effectively and inculcate the culture of built-in quality (DFQ - design for quality) in product designing. Assist the new product development team with rapid prototyping techniques, testing and validation of proto samples. Work with the manufacturing department to ensure that the product designs are optimized for manufacturability and assembly.
