Job description Job Title: General Surgery: Professor/ Associate Professor/ SR Location: Gautam Buddha Chikitsa Mahavidyalaya, Subharti Hospital, Dehradun Position Overview: We are seeking skilled and experienced Surgeons across all specialties to join our esteemed 780-bed multi-specialty teaching hospital. This role involves providing high-quality surgical care, contributing to medical education, and engaging in research to improve patient outcomes. We perform a wide range of surgical procedures, including laparoscopic, minimally invasive, and complex open surgeries, across various specialties, except robotic surgery. Key Responsibilities: Comprehensive Surgical Care Perform elective and emergency surgical procedures in General Surgery and subspecialties. Expertise in laparoscopic, minimally invasive, and open surgeries. Provide pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative management with a patient-centered approach. Manage trauma cases, gastrointestinal surgeries, soft tissue procedures, and other complex surgical interventions. Academic & Teaching Contributions Train and mentor MBBS students, junior residents, and surgical trainees. Participate in academic lectures, case discussions, morbidity & mortality meetings, and surgical skill workshops. Contribute to the development of clinical guidelines and evidence-based surgical practices. Multidisciplinary Collaboration & Patient Care Work closely with anesthetists, intensivists, radiologists, and other specialists for comprehensive patient management. Ensure adherence to hospital safety standards, infection control protocols, and ethical surgical practices. Participate in interdepartmental discussions to optimize patient care and surgical outcomes. Research & Continuous Learning Engage in clinical research, contribute to medical publications, and attend national and international surgical conferences. Stay updated with advancements in minimally invasive surgery and emerging surgical technologies. Qualifications & Skills: Education: MS/DNB in General Surgery or relevant surgical specialty from a recognized institution. Experience: Relevant clinical and/or academic experience as per the position applied for. Skills: Proficiency in advanced surgical techniques, critical decision-making, and teamwork. Why Join Us?
