Job description We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Scientist to join us on a contract basis. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to Demand Forecast & Replenishment, Price Optimization, ML and AI Implementation, Learning Solutions, Warehouse Management, Supply Chain Planning, Category Management, Order Management and leverage your expertise to drive data-informed decisions. You will work closely with various stakeholders to analyze complex datasets, develop predictive models, and provide actionable insights. Responsibilities: Collect, clean, and preprocess large and diverse datasets. Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies. Develop and implement machine learning models for tasks such as classification, regression, clustering, and time series forecasting etc Evaluate model performance using appropriate metrics and iterate to improve accuracy and reliability. Communicate findings and insights effectively through clear visualizations and presentations to both technical and non-technical audiences. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into analytical solutions. Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in data science, machine learning, and related technologies. Document methodologies, code, and results thoroughly. Contribute to the development and improvement of our data science infrastructure and best practices. Requirements: Deep understanding of data science principles and methodologies. A Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field is a plus, but equivalent in-depth knowledge and practical experience will also be considered. Proven experience (typically 10+ years) working as a Data Scientist or in a similar role. Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python and R. Experience with relevant data science libraries and frameworks (eg, statsmodels, scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, pandas, NumPy). Solid understanding of statistical modeling, machine learning algorithms, and their underlying principles. Experience with database systems and SQL. Excellent data visualization skills using tools such as Matplotlib, Seaborn, PowerBi or Tableau. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly and concisely. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with cloud computing platforms (eg, AWS, Azure, GCP). Familiarity with big data technologies (eg, Spark, Hadoop). Experience in JDA or Blue Yonder tools. Experience with deploying and monitoring machine learning models in production.
