Functional Tester (Retail)

Job description We are looking for a seasoned Functional Tester with strong experience in the retail domain, particularly in Replenishment, Allocation, and Forecasting processes. The role involves testing a custom React-based application that supports critical retail business functions, integrating with broader enterprise systems. You will collaborate closely with developers, functional consultants, and integration teams to validate business workflows, data integrity, and API-based system interactions in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Develop and execute functional test cases for a custom React-based retail application. Validate Replenishment, Allocation, and Forecasting workflows end-to-end. Work with development teams to test feature functionality and business logic. Understand integration points and test API-based data flows between systems. Collaborate with product owners and business analysts to interpret requirements and build test plans. Conduct System Integration Testing (SIT) and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Identify, document, and track defects using tools such as JIRA. Participate in regression and sanity testing for multiple release cycles. Support performance and edge-case testing as needed. Required Skills & Experience: 6+ years of hands-on testing experience, with at least 3 years in the retail domain. Strong understanding of retail operations, specifically R&A and Forecasting processes. Experience testing React-based web applications in enterprise environments. Solid grasp of integration testing, especially API-based workflows (eg, using Postman). Ability to work in hybrid system environments involving custom UIs and enterprise backends. Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, TestRail, Postman, and browser dev tools. Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams. Preferred Qualifications: Experience testing enterprise retail applications in cloud or hybrid on-prem environments. Exposure to retail transformation or modernization programs.
