Job description Job Title: Psychiatry Professor / Associate Professor / Assistant Professor / Senior Resident Location: Gautam Buddha Chikitsa Mahavidyalaya, Subharti Hospital, Dehradun Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Psychiatrist to join our esteemed medical faculty at Subharti Hospital, a 780-bed multi-specialty teaching hospital. The role involves providing comprehensive mental health care, conducting academic activities, and contributing to research in psychiatry. Key Responsibilities: Clinical Care & Patient Management Diagnose and treat a wide range of psychiatric disorders, including mood disorders, anxiety disorders, psychotic disorders, and substance use disorders. Provide inpatient and outpatient psychiatric care, including crisis intervention and psychotherapy. Conduct mental health assessments, formulate treatment plans, and manage medication therapy. Academic & Teaching Contributions Engage in teaching and mentoring of MBBS students and junior residents. Participate in curriculum development, case discussions, and clinical training programs. Supervise psychiatric case presentations, research activities, and journal clubs. Multidisciplinary Collaboration Work closely with psychologists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to provide holistic patient care. Participate in community mental health programs, awareness initiatives, and outreach activities. Research & Continuous Learning Contribute to psychiatric research, publish in peer-reviewed journals, and present at national/international conferences. Stay updated with advancements in psychiatry and implement evidence-based practices in patient care. Qualifications & Skills: Education: MD/DNB in Psychiatry from a recognized institution. Experience: Relevant clinical and/or academic experience as per the position applied for. Skills: Strong diagnostic abilities, psychotherapy skills, and a patient-centered approach. Why Join Us?
