Job description Briefly summarise the positions purpose or role: This position has overall management responsibility for a production team, which can include Senior Production Editors and Production Editors. The Team Leader is responsible for overseeing the publication of all products produced by members of their team. The Team Leader is also responsible for the final quality of production of products based on set standards and procedures. From time to time, the Team Leader will be required to work on the production of reporters, newsletters and/or books. The Team Leader will also provide advice and assistance to the Production Manager regarding production issues and training requirements in their group. Major Areas Of Responsibility Ensure that new and updating products are delivered as per the agreed schedule, within budget and of sufficient production quality, distribution or sale. Liaises with the Production Manager on priority of products and workflow required of Production team. Liaises with editors and support team on day-to-day issues. Reports reasons for variances on production schedule to Production Manager for incorporation in overall reports.
