Job description Position Testing Engineer Location Chennai Type Full-time Experience Minimum 1 year (Freshers will be considered based on exceptional talent and efficiency) Role Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Testing Engineer to join our team in Chennai. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of SQL and HTML, with the ability to perform comprehensive software testing. While a minimum of one year of experience is preferred, we are open to considering fresh graduates with exceptional skills and potential. Key Responsibilities Execute functional, regression, integration, and system testing on various software applications. Develop and execute detailed test cases based on project requirements and technical specifications. Collaborate with development teams to identify, report, and resolve defects. Review project documentation to ensure alignment with testing processes and standards. Ensure testing activities are completed on time, meeting quality and project objectives. Design, maintain, and execute test data for various test scenarios. Write and execute SQL queries to verify data integrity and perform database validation. Utilize HTML to test web applications and ensure proper functionality across platforms. Report defects and inconsistencies, conducting retesting as necessary. Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and other team meetings to stay aligned with project goals. Required Skills and Qualifications Strong proficiency in SQL, including the ability to write and optimize queries for database validation. Solid understanding of HTML and web technologies. Knowledge of software testing methodologies and best practices. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail, with the ability to identify and address potential issues proactively. Effective communication skills, with the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines. Preferred Skills Proficient in SQL for database queries and validation. Familiarity with HTML and its application in web-based testing.
