Job Description & Scope
Job description To support the electrical maintenance and operation of grinding unit equipment and utility systems. The GET will work under the guidance of senior engineers to ensure uninterrupted plant operations, adherence to safety standards, and efficient energy management. Key Responsibilities: Assist in daily monitoring and maintenance of HT & LT switchgears, motors, VFDs, transformers, and MCC panels Support preventive and breakdown maintenance of key cement grinding equipment like VRM, ball mills, separators, conveyors, packers, and compressors Troubleshoot electrical faults in plant machinery and assist in root cause analysis Maintain checklists, logbooks, and shift reports related to electrical activities Ensure proper functioning of lighting systems, DG sets, UPS systems, and earthing systems Learn and follow electrical safety practices, permit systems, and LOTO procedures Support energy audits, power factor correction, and power quality monitoring Coordinate with Instrumentation, Mechanical, and Production teams for smooth operations Understand and interpret SLDs, control wiring diagrams, and motor starter circuits Assist in maintaining documentation for statutory inspections (CEA, DISCOM, etc.) Participate actively in plant shutdown, start-up, and major maintenance activities Qualification: B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering (2023/2024 pass out preferred) Freshers or up to 1 year of plant internship/experience Key Skills Required: Sound understanding of electrical systems in industrial setup Basic knowledge of PLC/SCADA systems, especially used in cement grinding units Familiarity with motor control systems, soft starters, and VFDs Exposure to power distribution systems (11kV/440V) Competence in using testing tools (multimeter, megger, clamp meter, etc.) Proficiency in MS Excel, basic AutoCAD Electrical Strong communication and reporting abilities Safety-conscious and disciplined approach Behavioral Attributes: Eagerness to learn and adapt to plant environment Good team player with a cooperative attitude Ready to work in shifts and under challenging industrial conditions Proactive in identifying and resolving issues Role: Electrical Engineer Industry Type: Building Material (Cement) Department: Construction & Site Engineering Employment Type: Full Time, Permanent Role Category: Construction Engineering Education UG: Diploma in Electrical, B.Tech/B.E. in Electrical Key Skills Skills highlighted with ‘‘ are preferred keyskills Basic Electrical Engineering Concepts Testing ToolsSingle Line DiagramAutoCADPreventive MaintenanceMS Office SuiteElectrical Drawing & DocumentationElectrical Safety StandardsElectrical Engineering
