Head - Career Counselor

Job description JOB PURPOSE - "Career Counsellors deliver personalized and group career counselling and job search guidance to students and alumni, empowering them to make informed career choices, navigate occupational paths, and effectively pursue employment opportunities. Additionally, Career Counsellors actively contribute to job development initiatives, marketing efforts, and the coordination of Career Services recruitment services, including online job listings, career fairs, campus interviews, resume referrals, and specialized career events." KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - Career Guidance: Provide one-on-one and group counselling to students and alumni for career planning, job search, and college admissions (India and abroad). Mentorship & Monitoring: Lead the Mentor Program for Class XII, track individual student goals, maintain progress data, and support stream and subject choices. Parent & Teacher Engagement: Conduct workshops and counselling sessions to address academic, emotional, and adolescent issues; guide parents on the college admission process. Workshops & Seminars: Organize career talks, skill-building workshops, and training sessions on behaviour, life skills, and social awareness. Resume & Interview Support: Help students prepare resumes, conduct mock interviews, and guide them through application processes. Higher Education Liaison: Coordinate with Indian and international universities for sessions, interactions, and partnership development. Orientation & Induction: Design and conduct orientation programs for students and parents covering school policies, values, and counselling frameworks. Community Engagement: Plan and oversee community service and service-learning projects, promoting civic responsibility. Strategic Contribution: Participate in school strategy meetings to improve student support systems. Data Management: Maintain college placement records, service learning hours, and student counselling data. Internship & Summer Program Support: Facilitate student access to internships and academic enrichment opportunities during breaks. Program Development: Create value-based programs promoting student well-being and institutional ethos. Academic Support: Identify and support underperforming students through tailored counselling and mentoring. Marketing & Outreach: Promote school programs to potential students and support college branding through external communications.
