Procurement - Steel (Module Mounting Structure)

Job description Key Responsibilities: Steel Sourcing & Vendor Coordination: Assist in sourcing steel components such as mounting structures and support systems etc. Identify and evaluate vendors based on technical capabilities, quality standards, and cost-effectiveness. Maintain supplier relationships and support negotiations to achieve the best pricing and terms. Procurement Operations & Contract Management: Support the procurement process, from RFQ to contract execution, ensuring compliance with company policies. Ensure timely order placement, delivery tracking, and contract documentation. Coordinate with suppliers to resolve issues related to quality, delivery, and pricing. Technical & Market Analysis: Assist in assessing steel specifications to ensure compliance with project needs and environmental conditions. Stay updated on market trends, pricing fluctuations, and new technologies in steel sourcing for renewable energy projects. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, project management, and finance teams to support project requirements. Ensure alignment between procurement strategies and project execution timelines. Cost Optimization & Process Improvement: Support cost analysis initiatives to identify potential savings in material sourcing and logistics. Assist in implementing procurement best practices for efficiency and cost control. Reporting & Documentation: Prepare procurement reports and MIS for tracking procurement activities. Ensure proper documentation of contracts, compliance requirements, and supplier communications. Qualifications & Experience: Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering. A postgraduate qualification in Supply Chain/Procurement is a plus. Experience: 5-15 years of experience in procurement, specifically in Steel (Module Mounting Structure) sourcing for solar and wind projects. Skills Required: Understanding of steel (Module Mounting Structure) procurement processes, sourcing strategies, and contract management. Strong negotiation and vendor management skills. Basic technical knowledge of steel components used in solar and wind projects. Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and procurement software/tools. Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
