Job description Job Role: QA Analyst Chennai (Mandate work from office) 3 - 8 years experience required Job Description: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Manual Tester with at least 2+ years of hands-on experience in software testing. The ideal candidate will possess solid knowledge in manual testing techniques, as well as experience working in agile environments. As a Manual Tester, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products by conducting thorough manual testing and collaborating closely with development teams to identify defects and ensure the highest standards of quality. Key Responsibilities: Manual Testing: Perform functional, regression, integration, system, Database and user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure software functionality meets business requirements. Test Case Creation: Write, review, and maintain detailed test cases based on functional and technical requirements. Defect Tracking: Identify, log, and track software defects using tools like JIRA, ensuring clear communication and timely resolution. Collaboration: Work closely with developers and product managers to understand requirements and provide feedback on system behavior. Test Execution: Perform exploratory testing, user interface testing, and test case execution to ensure software behaves as expected across different platforms and configurations. Regression Testing: Ensure new code changes do not negatively impact existing functionality and conduct regular regression testing cycles. Documentation: Maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test execution reports. Test Reporting: Provide clear and concise test progress reports, including defect analysis and testing coverage. Preferred Skills and Experience: Test Management Tools: Familiarity with test case management tools such as Jira Xray. API Testing: Basic understanding of API testing (using tools such as Postman or others) is a plus. Bug Tracking Tools: Experience using bug tracking tools such as JIRA Required Qualifications: 3+ year of experience in manual testing of web-based and desktop applications. Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC). In-depth knowledge of testing techniques, methodologies, and best practices. Experience in writing clear and comprehensive test plans and test cases. Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
