Operational Risk - Governance and Loss Data Specialist

Job description About the Role - An Operational Risk Governance and Loss Data Specialist plays a crucial role in managing and mitigating operational risks within an organization. This role involves overseeing risk governance frameworks, collecting and analyzing loss data, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The specialist collaborates with various departments to identify potential risks, develop strategies to address them, and maintain a comprehensive risk management program. Proactive identification, assessment and mitigation of key/emerging risks in relevant Business Unit through effective implementation & compliance of Operational Risk Policies and Framework Key Responsibilities - Detailed review of PMC/CMC notes raised by Units Identify and undertake Theme based reviews based on losses/fraud/audit/key risks Risk Control & Self-Assessment (RCSA) exercise to periodically assess/rate key risks their controls on design and effectiveness Identify/Design new Key Risk Indicators and review & monitor the same on periodic basis to highlight any operational risk concerns based on adverse trends/ breaches Develop and implement the organization's operational risk governance framework. Ensure alignment with industry standards and regulatory requirements. Establish risk policies, procedures, and guidelines to manage operational risks effectively. Ensure data integrity/adequacy/completeness of risk data on EGRC/ involve in initiatives being taken up for maintenance of EGRC system for better Risk management by Units Conduct risk assessments and scenario analyses to evaluate the impact of potential risks. Maintain an up-to-date risk register and ensure timely reporting of risk events. Support the development of risk mitigation strategies and action plans. Design and maintain a robust loss data collection process. Gather and consolidate loss data from various sources within the organization. Analyze loss data to identify trends, root causes, and potential risk areas. Develop actionable insights and recommendations based on loss data analysis. Prepare regular risk reports for senior management and the board of directors. Communicate risk-related information effectively to stakeholders. Ensure transparency and accountability in risk management practices. Provide training and awareness programs on operational risk management.
