Job description Summary : The Manager -Network Operations (Banknet) will lead the design, implementation, and 24x7 operations of secure and highly available network infrastructure supporting mission-critical banking and financial services. This role is pivotal in ensuring regulatory compliance, data confidentiality, operational resilience, and high service availability across Data Centers, Disaster Recovery Sites, Branch Networks, and SD-WAN architectures. The Manager will oversee incident management, change control, and service continuity in line with RBI and other regulatory guidelines. They will manage cross-functional teams and vendor partners, drive SLA adherence, and lead proactive monitoring and optimization efforts. This position requires close collaboration with cybersecurity, application, and compliance teams to ensure a robust and compliant infrastructure ecosystem. The ideal candidate will bring strategic vision, leadership acumen, and deep technical expertise in BFSI network operations to continuously enhance the digital banking experience while safeguarding customer trust and data integrity. Role & responsibilities : 1. Strategic Network Operations Management: Lead and oversee end-to-end network operations across Data Centers & Branch Networks. Define SOPs and governance models for incident, change, and problem management aligned with ITIL practices. Ensure high availability, performance, and compliance of banking network infrastructure. 2. Technical Oversight & Architecture Review: Review and approve HLD/LLD designs for LAN/WAN/SD-WAN & MPLS. Drive the adoption of network automation and proactive monitoring solutions for enhanced operational efficiency. Conduct RCA review meetings and lead major incident handling with cross-functional teams. 3. Network Security & Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to RBI and regulatory guidelines related to network security, segmentation, and logging. Oversee DDoS operations for critical applications and data flows. Monitor audit compliance and drive implementation of security best practices across the infrastructure. 4. Team & Resource Management: Mentor and manage multi-tier NOC teams (L1/L2/L3) for 24x7 operations and knowledge improvement. Plan staffing, training, and resource augmentation as per business and operational needs. 5. Project & Change Management: Plan and execute large-scale network rollouts, migrations, upgrades, and DR drills with minimal impact. Implement change management processes and ensure risk mitigation strategies are in place. 6. Reporting, Governance & Audits: Present executive dashboards, SLA reports, capacity planning insights, and RCA reports to management. Lead internal/external audits and ensure timely closure of non-compliance observations. Education : B.E/ B.Tech, M.Tech/MCA (Computer/IT)/B.Sc (Computers) Experience : 1) B.E/ B.Tech, M.Tech/MCA (Computer/IT) with 8 plus years or B.Sc (Computers) with 7 plus years of working experience on large complex enterprise networks. - Mandatory 2) Must have hands-on experience in protocols/technologies like MPLS (traffic engineering, L2/L3 VPN), BGP-4/MP-BGP, ISIS, OSPF/OSPFv3, EIGRP, RSVP, LDP, VXLAN, Network Access Control, 802.1x, VPN. - Mandatory 3) Experience in Software Defined Network (SDN) & SD-WAN. - Mandatory 4) Hands on experience on multi-vendor / multi-service IP networks, multi-vendor equipment and network protocols. - Mandatory 5) Configuration experience on Network management and monitoring tools - Mandatory 6) Experience in conducting regular Network performance review, Network analysis and running detailed Network improvement plans with Network Providers. - Mandatory 7) Experience on Network Management tools like Cisco ISE, DNAC. - Mandatory 8) Experience in Solution Design and Architecture assessment of large networks - Desirable 9) Experience in Security devices - Added advantage 10)Experience in dealing with banks / financial institutions /NBFCs networks - Added advantage 11)Proficiency in managing and securing Data Center networks - Desirable 12) Well verse
