Staff Engineer

Job description Job Summary: The Staff Software Engineer plays a key role within each phase of the software development lifecycle. This individual will work cross-functionally with the companys infrastructure, security, data warehouse, and other development teams to provide customer-centric solutions and build a world-class background check platform to meet the exploding growth of the company and business demands. Responsibilities (Duties): 1. Develop and maintain service-oriented architecture platforms from start to finish. 2. Write reusable, testable, and efficient code. 3. Code Build and Deploy Tools such as Jenkins/Code Build. 4. Applications support / troubleshooting across environments. 5. Provide mentorship to junior-mid level developers. 6. Deep familiarity with modern web application technologies & frameworks. 7. Experience architecture and developing enterprise integrations systems. 8. Interact with internal stakeholders and external customers. 9. Solid understanding of Agile or SCRUM development processes and software release processes. 10. Detail-oriented, with strong written and verbal communication. 11. Provide direction on tools and technologies for the team 12. Ability to facilitate discussions within Engineering on matters of technical architecture 13. Facilitate code reviews and provide a constructive environment for discussion 14. Work with leadership on project planning and resolution of systemic problems 15. Strong understanding of business impact and business problem domain 16. Effectively delegates technical tasks to junior developers and monitors progress 17. Finds the root cause of problems and identifies code and non-code solutions Qualifications: 1. BE/BTECH/MS in Computer Science or equivalent education. 2. 7+ years of system development experience using the following technologies: 3. Java i18n 4. Spring Boot Framework 5. J2EE Technologies including JSP/Servlets, EJB3, JMS, JDBC, JMX 6. RESTful Web Services/SOA, XML, XSL 7. JAX-RS, JSON 8. Tomcat, JBoss, SQL Server, Mongo DB 9. HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, TypeScript 10. Angular/React SPA Framework, Nodejs 11.
