Job description About the job Job Title: Executive / Manager Transformer Location: New Delhi Experience: 5-10 Years About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Sr. Executive or Manager Transformer to join our dynamic team in New Delhi. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of transformer trading operations. This includes managing sales, marketing, procurement, and supply chain functions while driving business growth and profitability. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of the electrical equipment market, strong leadership experience, and a strategic approach to expanding market share. Key Responsibilities: Identify and develop new business opportunities for oil-cooled and dry-type transformers (up to 33 kV / 20 MVA and above). Engage with EPCs, utilities, consultants, and industrial clients to understand transformer requirements. Provide technical presentations and product demos to clients and consultants. Study and interpret technical specifications in tenders and RFQs to ensure proposal compliance. Prepare and submit techno-commercial offers based on transformer parameters: Voltage Class: 11kV / 22kV / 33kV Rating: 100 kVA to 20 MVA Type: Oil-cooled (ONAN/ONAF), Dry-type (VPI/CRT) Features: Vector Group, Tap Changer (Off-load / OLTC), Impedance, Losses as per IS 2026 / IEC Coordinate with the design and engineering teams for custom designs and costing. Handle technical queries during pre-bid and post-bid stages. Negotiate and close orders; follow up on pricing, delivery, and terms. Build and maintain long-term client relationships. Track project execution, delivery schedules, and payment collections. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or Business Administration. MBA preferred. 5+ years of experience in the electrical equipment industry, especially transformers or motors. Experience in trading, distribution, or sales operations in a leadership capacity. Strong background in supply chain, procurement, and financial planning in trading. Technical Skills: Knowledge of transformer design, manufacturing, and testing. Familiarity with IS 1180, IS 2026, IEC 60076, and related standards. Ability to read SLDs, GA drawings, and electrical layouts. Understanding of substation design and transformer-switchgear integration. Experience working with DISCOMs, SEBs, and industrial customers.
