Job description Role & responsibilities : Develop and execute business development strategies: Identifying new markets, exploring potential partnerships, and creating plans to expand the company's footprint in the building industry. Manage the business development pipeline: Tracking prospects and ensuring that opportunities are properly nurtured and followed up on. Build and maintain key relationships: Working with clients, partners, vendors, and other stakeholders to foster strong, long-term collaborations. Joint Ventures: Evaluate, and formalize JV or consortium partnerships with national and international contractors possessing technical specialization or financial strength as per the requirement of tenders. Stay informed about market trends and industry developments: Keeping abreast of new technologies, regulations, and other factors that could impact the business. Provide strategic guidance to the executive team: Identifying growth opportunities, and developing strategies to achieve company objectives. Monitor and report on business development performance: Tracking key metrics, analysing results, and making recommendations to improve performance Preferred candidate profile Bachelors degree/M Tech in Civil Engineering / Construction (MBA or NICMAR qualification preferred). Minimum 20 years of experience in Government Building/ Factory sector projects, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Proven track record of winning large public works contracts and forming successful strategic alliances/JVs. Excellent networking and relationship-building capabilities with government authorities, PSUs, consultants, and EPC players. Strong understanding of government procurement processes, EPC modalities, tender procedures, and JV structuring. Superior leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
