Required Technical Expertise Strong hands-on expertise & experience in deploying & managing ESXi hosts clusters, vCenter servers (7.x, 8.x), configuring standard & distributed switch, SAN storage – FC, ISCSI, NAS, HA / DRS. Hands on experience with ESXI and vCenter Update / Upgrade / Migration activity. Competency to diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve issues such as storage path failures, network bottlenecks, and hypervisor-level issues. Experience: Proven experience (typically 3+ years) in VMware administration and engineering. Deep understanding of HCI concepts, server hardware architectures (Dell, HPE, Cisco UCS), and operating systems (Windows, Linux). Job Position Summary The main responsibility of the Drydock Category Management Specialist is to provide support to the Drydock team by delivering drydock cost evaluations, spend and supplier analyses for effective decision making. Drydock Assistant Category Manager will report to the Manager, Drydock Lead and assist in delivering on the category strategies and plans. At times, the Drydock Category Manager will also represent the company in front of various suppliers, as directed from time to time. Key Roles and Responsibilities Participate in establishing the category strategies and support Drydock Lead manager in delivering on the category strategies and plans. Categories included in the scope Drydock Yard bills, Drydock workshops, Stores and Paints. Derive insights from historical drydock data to assist in drydock and stores strategy Assist Drydock category lead in maintaining vessel Drydock data to accurately forecast drydock allocation and identify Drydock standard job scopes and make comparisons of the same with various shortlisted yards Assist Drydock Lead in negotiations with yards on pricing of job scopes in drydocks Perform spot checks of Drydock specification comparison from various yards To provide reports and statistics on drydocks, workshops and category level to support the Drydock category manager and other internal stakeholders in decision making. To assist in performing supplier market analysis and organizing market intelligence for spend within Fleet s operations and benchmarking the comparisons. To assist in developing effective bidding, negotiation, and pricing strategies to provide the business with the best value in the marketplace for the dollars spent in a manner that meets the budgets, policies, ethical standards and audit requirements of the Group. To maintain and contribute to procurement policies and guidelines and ensure compliance of procurement processes and policies for all FML procurement activities. Develop a supplier management program with key category suppliers including metrics, performance goals and improvement initiatives Collaborate and cooperate with cross-functional category teams with the aim of driving cost reduction, improve quality and delivery performance and other applicable key performance areas Job Experience, Functional Knowledge and Qualifications Bachelor s marine engineering degree and at least five (2-3) years Drydock or marine procurement/category management experience. Sailing Marine Engineer with Drydock experience will be preferred Excellent communication and negotiation skills Resourceful, self-driven and proactive Proficient in use of MS Office Application and understanding of supply chain procedures.
