Job description Job Title: Purchase Engineer HVAC Location: Pune Department: Procurement / Supply Chain Reporting To: Procurement Manager / Project Manager Employment Type: Full-time Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Purchase Engineer (HVAC) to manage procurement activities for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. The ideal candidate will ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of HVAC equipment, materials, and services while maintaining quality and compliance with project requirements. Key Responsibilities: Source, negotiate, and purchase HVAC equipment and materials from suppliers and manufacturers. Review HVAC technical specifications, BOQs, and drawings to ensure accurate procurement. Evaluate supplier performance, price trends, and delivery schedules. Coordinate with project, engineering, and design teams to align purchasing with project needs. Maintain and update procurement records, purchase orders, and supplier databases. Track deliveries and ensure materials arrive on time and meet quality standards. Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships for long-term supply chain efficiency. Ensure compliance with company policies, standards, and contractual obligations. Assist in budgeting, cost control, and forecasting procurement expenditures. Monitor inventory levels to avoid material shortages or overstocking. Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. 3–6 years of experience in HVAC procurement or related engineering procurement roles. In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems and related technical components. Strong negotiation and vendor management skills. Proficient in MS Office and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Tally). Excellent communication and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines. Preferred Skills: Prior experience in large-scale HVAC projects (commercial or industrial). Familiarity with local and international HVAC codes and standards. Knowledge of sustainable HVAC solutions and energy-efficient technologies.
