Job description Key Responsibilities: Spare Parts Supply Chain & Global Procurement: Oversee import and procurement of spare parts from USA, Germany, China, Taiwan, Korea, and local Indian vendors. Manage international and domestic logistics to ensure timely delivery and regulatory compliance. Coordinate with customs and freight forwarding agencies to ensure smooth clearance and cost-effective transportation. Spare Parts Business Development: Work closely with the Sales, Service, and Application teams to identify business opportunities for spare parts. Develop and implement strategies to increase spare parts sales revenue, improve customer satisfaction, and penetrate new market segments. Monitor part consumption trends, customer buying patterns, and competitor activities to shape commercial decisions. Identify and promote value-added parts, accessories, and kits to boost aftermarket sales. Inventory & Warehouse Management: Manage and optimize spare parts stock levels at regional locations: Mumbai, Pune, Kolhapur, Nashik, Noida, Ludhiana, Ahmedabad, Bangalore. Apply warehousing principles and stock control techniques to ensure product availability, minimum holding costs, and space efficiency. Release and monitor purchase orders (local & international) in line with stock levels and consumption patterns to ensure 100% supply readiness. Inventory Planning & Forecasting: Conduct weekly forecasting to ensure parts availability in alignment with sales and service demands across India. Monitor ageing inventory and work with Sales/Service teams to formulate liquidation strategies. Track and report key inventory metrics: stock turnover ratio, excess/idle inventory, customer service level, stock-out incidents, and critical item availability. Data Analysis & Reporting: Generate and review MIS reports using advanced Excel tools (e.g., PivotTables, VLOOKUP, Power Query) to drive inventory insights. Maintain accurate records of product master data, contracts, pricing structures, and invoicing. Recommend changes in KPIs and operational strategies to enhance warehouse efficiency and customer service outcomes. MRP & Supply Chain Systems: Implement and manage MRP (Material Requirements Planning) processes to forecast and plan spare parts procurement accurately. Coordinate supplier contracts and assess vendor performance to ensure alignment with business goals. Compliance, Auditing & Admin Oversight: Conduct regular branch audits to ensure process adherence, stock accuracy, and inventory rotation. Administer daily operations related to stock tracking, delivery management, document control, and data accuracy. Required Skills & Qualifications: Educational Qualification: Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Mechanical/Industrial Engineering, or related field. MBA or PG in Operations preferred. Experience: 710 years in spare parts management, industrial supply chain, or capital equipment industry (preferably CNC Machines). Proficient in ERP/MRP systems and skilled in Advanced Excel for MIS/reporting. Strong understanding of international logistics, customs regulations, Incoterms, and warehouse operations. Solid grasp of inventory principles like MIN-MAX stock levels, safety stock, Economic Order Quantity(EOQ), and ABC analysis. Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and multi-location inventory distribution. Preferred Attributes: Strategic thinker with problem-solving ability. High attention to detail and process discipline. Strong communication and vendor negotiation skills. Willingness to travel across India and to export markets as needed.
