What makes you a strong candidate: You have 3+ years of experience in back-end development, NestJS, and TypeScript. You are proficient in API integration, AWS, algorithm development, and data structures. English - Native or fully fluent. Responsibilities and more: We are looking for a Backend Engineer with strong technical expertise and leadership capabilities to design and implement scalable systems in the fintech space. This role goes beyond executing assigned tasks; it requires ownership of system architecture, problem-solving, and innovation in a complex codebase. The ideal candidate will have deep experience with Typescript, NestJS, API integrations, and web scraping, along with a strong understanding of security, data structures, and performance optimization. You will play a key role in designing, developing, and optimizing fintech integrations, particularly in HSA/FSA account management and e-commerce data extraction. If you are a self-starter who enjoys working on complex systems, leading initiatives, and mentoring others, we want to hear from you! Responsibilities: Integrate with external APIs to manage HSA/FSA accounts. Implement web scraping for common online merchants (e.g., Amazon) for users\u2019 order histories. Integrate with existing Typescript/NestJS framework. Requirements 3-5 years of backend development experience, particularly in complex codebases. NestJS + Typescript (or a similar NodeJS-based framework). Proficiency with data structures and algorithms. Networking fundamentals. Web security fundamentals. Able to write E2E tests. Self-starter: remaining unblocked, finding creative solutions. Ability to work in a team: helping others, writing documentation, reviewing code. Attention to detail: proactively finding edge cases. Web scraping experience. Experience setting up monitoring / alerting. Experience with AWS. Experience with fintech APIs. Able to manage timelines and projects with minimal supervision.
