Job description Job Overview We are seeking an experienced AS400 Developer with strong expertise in COBOL400, CL400, and DB2/400. The ideal candidate will have the ability to analyze, develop, and troubleshoot COBOL programs independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams to support and enhance legacy systems. Key Responsibilities Analyze, develop, and support applications written in COBOL400 and CL400 on the AS400 platform. Write and optimize SQL queries for data manipulation and reporting. Independently analyze COBOL programs to identify bugs, enhancements, and performance improvements. Collaborate with business analysts, QA, and operations teams to resolve issues and implement system changes. Provide technical documentation and participate in code reviews. Troubleshoot production issues and provide L2/L3 support Must-Have Skills & Experience 5+ years of hands-on experience with AS400, COBOL400, CL400, and DB2/400. Strong SQL skills with proven experience in data analysis and reporting. Ability to independently analyze and modify COBOL programs. Excellent communication skills with a proactive, problem-solving mindset. Experience working in a collaborative, team-oriented environment. Good-to-Have Skills & Experience Prior experience in finance, insurance, or large enterprise environments. Familiarity with other legacy systems and mainframe technologies. Knowledge of performance tuning and system optimization techniques. Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies or similar development practices. Familiarity with version control tools (e.g., Git, SVN).
