Job description Digital Transformation & Innovation Officer Location: Tanzania (Dar Es Salaam) Industry: Consultancy | Real Estate | Construction | Manufacturing (Materials & Equipment) Job Type: Full-time Job Summary We are seeking a visionary Digital Transformation & Innovation Officer to lead the development and execution of our digital strategy, with a core focus on building and monetising a next-generation AI-based business collaboration portal. This role will drive innovation across consultancy, real estate, construction, and manufacturing verticals through cutting-edge technologies such as AI based smart collaborative portal. You will spearhead the transformation of internal processes, operations and create a scalable, revenue-generating platform to be rolled out internally and thereafter to third-party users. Key Responsibilities 1. Digital Strategy & Innovation Leadership Define and execute the companys digital transformation strategy aligned with business objectives and market trends. Lead enterprise-wide innovation initiatives leveraging ConsulTech, ConTech, ProjTech, and PropTech. Identify and implement emerging technologies that drive operational efficiency and revenue growth. Drive change management and foster a culture of digital adoption and continuous innovation. 2. AI-Based Business Collaboration Portal Lead the design, development, and deployment of an AI-powered business collaboration portal, enabling: Real-time communication and project management for developers, contractors, suppliers, and consultants. Predictive analytics for timelines, cost estimates, and risk management. IoT and BIM integration for intelligent monitoring and automated reporting. Blockchain-backed smart contracts for secure, transparent transactions. End-to-end supply chain visibility and procurement automation. Ensure scalability, multilingual functionality, and user-centric design for internal and third-party users. Develop monetization strategies, including subscription models, licensing, and value-added services. 3. Digital Innovation in Core Sectors Digitize business processes in consultancy, real estate, construction, and manufacturing through: Predictive maintenance, AI-assisted quality control, and inventory optimization. Smart property management and digital leasing tools. VR/AR solutions for virtual property showcases and immersive client engagement. Data-driven tools for design collaboration, asset tracking, and performance analytics. ERP and CRM 4. IT Infrastructure, Cybersecurity & Compliance Oversee IT modernization and cloud infrastructure deployment to support digital operations. Develop and enforce data security protocols and compliance with Tanzanian and international standards. Mitigate risks through cybersecurity strategies, disaster recovery planning, and business continuity frameworks. 5. Leadership, Partnerships & Stakeholder Engagement Build and manage a multidisciplinary team of developers, analysts, and IT professionals. Engage with stakeholders across industriesdevelopers, engineers, suppliers, regulatorsto ensure effective adoption. Establish strategic partnerships with AI vendors, universities, and technology providers. Present roadmaps, budgets, and performance metrics to the executive board and investors. Qualifications & Experience Education Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence or related field. Professional certifications (preferred): AI/Cloud: Google AI, Azure AI, AWS Cloud Project Management: PMP, LEED AP Security: CISSP, CISM, ISO 27001, CISA Industry-specific: BIM, CCIM, PropTech/Blockchain for Real Estate Experience 8+ years in digital or technology leadership roles, with 5+ years in real estate, construction, or manufacturing. Proven record in launching scalable AI-driven platforms and digital transformation initiatives.
